Education is a journey… if you stop learning today, you become uneducated tomorrow.
My different stages of career (life) journey…
* The Foundation Year: Pharmacy education at National University of Singapore, followed by pupilage training at the Ministry of Health Singapore (Singapore General Hospital, Tan Tock Seng Hospital and Pharmaceutical Department).
Grateful to have met great teachers, professors, fellow seniors, mentors, …, who have helped me along when I first started my career journey.
* The Experience Accumulation Years: Started my first job as a hospital pharmacist at Mt Alvernia Hospital, followed by Waltons Pharmacy, before entering the pharmaceutical industry, starting as a sales representative, regulatory pharmacist, trainer, marketing, …, as an expatriate product manager in China (Johnson & Johnson Medical) and finally, took on my first leadership role as country manager with UCB Pharma.
Throughout my career journey, I had also constantly improved myself through attending trainings, workshops, seminars, course works and post-graduates courses: Master in International Business (Curtin University), Graduate Diploma in Marketing (SIM), Diploma in International Marketing (CIM, UK), Certified Diploma in Accounting & Finance (ACCA, UK), etc, etc….
30+ years of diverse experience, both in sectors (hospitals, retail, pharma, medical devices, consumer, FMCG, e-Commerce, …) and types of companies (MNCs, regional distributors, local companies, …), together with continuous education in different disciplines have given me valuable real-life experiences plus theories to support those who have seek my help in their career/life/work/leadership coaching journeys.
Gratitude to all the great bosses & leaders that I have met over the years, who have guided me, coached me, mentored me over the years. Many have since become my personal friends and remain as my mentors!
Thanks also to the few bad bosses that I have encountered, as they have taught me first hands real-life examples how NOT to be like them (hahaha…!). I wish we would cross path again one day, and be given an opportunity to coach them to become 21st century paradigm leaders! (Provided they too, are willing to give themselves an opportunity!)
* The Next Journey as a Transformational Coach & Adult Educator (Corporate Trainer): 
I have recently completed my leadership coaching course with Paradigm21 & Leadership Coaching School, and is on the way to clock my coaching milestone…
This course has allowed me to further “sharpen my saw” (continuous improvement: reference: 7 habits of highly effective people, Stephen Covey) in my coaching journey.
Am currently embarking on the ACLP (Advanced Certificate in Learning & Performance). This course would equip me with SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) recognized training and adult education (TAE) competencies to not only to perform the role as a learning facilitator, assessor of SSG-funded certifiable solutionist who is able to support the performance needs of enterprises and learners experiencing industry transformation.
